Built at the turn of the last century and known as the “Hawley House” after the name of the first owner. Curtis Hawley was manager of the Utah Electric Company and a member of the Chamber of Commerce. The current owner feels that the electric system has been well thought out due to Hawley’s experience. In the 1920’s it was sold to the United Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church to house their minister. The current owner and her husband completely restored this Victorian flavor of the home by lovingly going over all the wood doors and floors, replacing as little as possible to keep the honey colors from floors to bannisters. They also added gold leaf to the cherubs and entry way textured wall paper to make the features look lush. All of the original stained glass is intact throughout the home. The top floor is a master suit with en suite bath, located above a terrific den/study on the second floor (where are there two more bedrooms/bath). The basement has a walkout entry with a lovely private patio and is ready to be a mother in law apartment-just needs a microwave and refrigerator and has sweet coved arches that accentuate the room flow. The Japanese garden in the rear yard has a water feature with waterfall, plum and Japanese lantern trees, a reflecting pond, and the two car brick garage in back has a loft space above for storage/projects and an alley entrance. There are @20 solar panels on the roof (no backup battery) that are owned. THIS HOME IS STUNNING!
